Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Materials Physics
Georgetown University
About this opportunity
Undergraduates are invited to apply for a paid 10-week summer research internship in the physics department at Georgetown University. Participants work with faculty and graduate-student mentors on a focused research project in materials physics. Taking advantage of the university's location in Washington, DC, the program also features a science-and-society component that gives students an opportunity to explore the connection between scientific research and the world outside the laboratory. In addition, the program offers professional development workshops and social and networking activities.Research opportunities: experimental, computational, and theoretical projects in biological physics, hard condensed matter, soft matter, micro and nano technologies, optics and imaging, quantum comput
