About this opportunity

The Summer in Biomedical Science (SIBS) Undergraduate Research Program will provide the opportunity for young people to be instructed in the techniques of modern biology while becoming integrated members of a vibrant clinical and scientific community. The objectives for the SIBS program are found below:To give college undergraduates a hands-on educational experiences in biomedical science.To promote awareness of the major basic and clinical resarch areas in the biomedical sciences.To give college undergraduates the opportunity to interaxt with basic science researchers and clinical scientists.To allow a student an insider's at the medical and graduate programs offered here at UAB.Fifteen students will be accepted into an 8-week paid summer program to work with faculty members on mentored r
