About this opportunity
Students will receive one-on one mentoring by research faculty from the Departments of Molecular Biosciences, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and Computational Biology as they work on an independent research project. Student participants will also engage in professional development activities, involving group tutorials, guest speakers, computational workshops, communication skills workshops, and career development workshops. The goals of our program are designed such that students will gain scientific skills, hone presentation skills, develop hypotheses and participate in cutting-edge research while building career networks and making new friends. The scientific theme, The Stressed Life of Cells, unites all the summer research projects and reflects the kinds of biotic and abiotic stressors
