About this opportunity
The University of Maine's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Frontier Institute for Research in Sensor Technologies (FIRST) invite outstanding undergraduates to join a 10-week NSF-supported summer fellowship in sensor science. Participants will conduct hands-on research collaborating with faculty and researchers on cutting-edge topics like nanoscale materials, sensor devices, biomedical sensing and AI/deep learning for sensor network data analysis. The program includes research experiences in state-of-the-art facilities, and culminates in a final report and presentation.Participants receive a $700/week stipend, free on-campus housing and dining funds. Students will be housed on campus, in the Doris Twitchell-Allen Village, which are apartment-style housing. Each unit ha
