About this opportunity

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina (UofSC) is pleased to announce our National Science Foundation (NSF) Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program! Participants will perform research involving the design and synthesis of nanostructured materials for heterogeneous catalysis, electrochemistry, computational methods, and molecular simulation to advance the understanding of processes and materials that underpin CO2 capture, chemical conversion of CO2 to fuels and chemicals, and reduction of CO2 production by using biomass for fuels and chemicals. Seminars, workshops, visits to local industries, and social events are also planned throughout the summer.
