The Bowsher and Greenlee Labs in the Department of Biological Sciences are excited to invite applications for undergraduate research positions during summer. Students will assist with projects investigating the development and health of agriculturally-beneficial bee pollinators (blue orchard mason bees, Osmia lignaria; alfalfa leafcutting bees, Megachile rotundata; and honey bees, Apis mellifera). Students will conduct research in one of the following areas:1. Gene expression and hormonal physiology of bees during development. Research will be primarily lab-based and involve molecular techniques.2. Bee behavior, performance and reproduction.
