About this opportunity

TREND is a paid Physics summer research experience for undergrads (funded by NSF) focused on nonlinear dynamics. Physics, mathematics, and engineering students from institutions across the country come to UMD' for 10 weeks to collaborate with scientists conducting research in the topics listed below. Students also participate in professional development and community-building/networking activities.What will I get?- 10 weeks of mentored research experience in some of the best nonlinear dynamics labs)- $7,000 stipend- Travel funds to UMD and back home- Housing at UMD for the summer (with 9 other TREND students)- $750 after the summer to present your research at a conference- Summer-long social justice in science dialogues- Practice and mentoring with oral, visual, written and multimedia comm
