About this opportunity

For over 30 years, the Nemours Summer Undergraduate Research Program has been funding scholarships to undergraduate students for work on summer research projects. There are 10 scholarships available, and each scholarship recipient receives a $3200 monetary award. Current college students at the time of application are eligible. This year, the program begins June 3, 2013 and ends on August 9, 2013. Participation is required throughout the 10-week program. >p>Scholarship recipients are matched with scientist/physician mentors according to student's expressed interest in the projects, the student's background, and interest in the student by the mentors. Enrichment activities integral to the program include research/clinical seminars, participation in student led activities such as a journal c
