Math students interested in quantum, join us to explore the intersection of mathematics and quantum information science (QIS).In this program, you'll join the MathQuantum research training group at UMD College Park for 8 weeks in summer. You'll engage in a mentored research project and learn knowledge and skills needed to enter research in QIS.Topics include quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography, and quantum dynamics/systems. Math used includes algebra/representation theory, nonlinear analysis, partial differential equations, scientific computing and stochastic analysis.What will you get?- $5,200 stipend for 8 weeks- Housing at UMD College Park campus- Funds to travel to and from UMD for summer- Up to $1,000 conference attendance funding- Mentored research and interdisciplinary training
