About this opportunity
This is a 2-week program where early career researchers (from undergraduates to post-docs) travel with a cohort to the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest and learn about 1. Conducting field research 2. Biomechanics and interdisciplinary science, and 3. Communication and outreach to international audiences while living in the rainforest. We invite biologists, physicists, engineers, and more to apply. Run annually at Finca Las Piedras, the Jungle Biomechanics Lab is an NSF-IRES funded program. Travel with a team of researchers and do field biomechanics research, collaborate with a diverse cohort of U.S. and Peruvian scientists and students, and participate in science outreach events with local schools!This is a fully funded program, we will cover your flights, housing, and food for the full trip!
