Genes & The Environment: REU for Undergrads from Rural and Tribal Colleges

Funded by the National Science Foundation, this REU Site program will be a 10-week summer research experience in laboratories at the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND) and Cankdeska Cikana Community College. Each of the participating scientists conducts basic science research involving gene regulation. Selected participants will work in a laboratory alongside faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. In addition to learning basic lab procedures, participants will receive training in molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and a variety other techniques.
