The Future Leaders in Advanced Materials (FLAM) program brings science and engineering majors from all over the country to UCSB for a summer research experience. The summer 9-week program provides opportunities for students to conduct research under the mentorship of faculty and graduate student researchers. Participants actively engage in the scientific community through research, seminars, and professional development workshops.Eligibility: Any U.S. citizen or resident alien (green card) who is an undergraduate student, and who will not have graduated before fall, is welcome to apply. That is, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at the time of the internship.
