About this opportunity
Arkansas STRIVE places teachers on projects with government agencies, industries, universities, research labs, and nonprofit organizations for eight weeks in the summer. Teachers experience how their disciplines are used outside the classroom, and how organizations conduct research, solve problems, or develop new products. STRIVE personnel conduct two one-day workshops on Inquiry teaching, and data analysis with computers. Teachers develop two inquiry or problem-based lessons. Teachers receive a $4,500 stipend, professional development credits, or graduate credits.
